Since 2009 Pratotrade previews the presentation of the fabric collections on the market with its new fair event: PRIMA Moda Tessuto.

Prato Expo, founded in 1979, is one of the most important international trade fairs in the textile sector, featuring the most prestigious, innovative textile manufacturers with a high fashion content, operating mainly in the sector of womenswear and informal menswear.

Over the years, the event has undergone a number of changes: the first editions were held in Prato, then in Montecatini, later in Osmannoro to end up, in 1980 at the Fortezza da Basso fairgrounds in Florence, where it was held until 2005. Since 2006 Prato Expo has moved to the Fieramilanocity fairgrounds as part of the Milano Unica trade fair event.
